Upgrading to Dynamics 365 Business Central On-premises or SaaS involves several steps which can be challenging due to the various limitations that need to be solved along the way. One of these limitations, is Web Client compatibility.
Since the release of Dynamics 365 Business Central 2019 Wave 2, the Windows Client was discontinued and only the Web Client can now be used. During the upgrade, customers who are still using Dynamics C/AL solutions with a Windows Client, may require a Web Client redesign. This is because the Windows Client functionality is different from the Web Client.
